iBuyers have the right to require a signed listing agreement before they will submit an offer to an agent. Each iBuyer has different requirements and they may change at any time. Agents may receive a request to provide a listing agreement directly from the iBuyer on a case per case basis.

There are several reasons an iBuyer may require a listing agreement, including but not limited to, the following...

  • Confirm the agent has the right to solicit offers on the property.

  • Confirm the agent is getting paid by the seller.

  • Confirm there is no referral fee being offered by the iBuyer.

  • Other reasons per iBuyer

Example Agreement

To help seller's in a situation where they want an agent to manage this process, you should use a listing agreement that complies with your broker and state regulations.
